We’re Hiring: Laminator Operator

At BakPac, we specialise in creating high-quality flexible packaging solutions that help brands stand out on the shelf. We’re looking for a Laminator Operative to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you’ll operate and maintain our thermal laminating machinery, ensuring that every roll we produce meets the highest standards of quality and finish. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking production team, where precision and creativity meet technology to deliver outstanding results for our customers.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor thermal laminating machinery to produce high-quality laminated materials.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure lamination meets required standards, including adhesion, appearance, and durability.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine issues, performing basic maintenance and reporting faults as necessary.
• Ensure raw materials (films, adhesives, and substrates) are correctly loaded and used efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain production schedules and minimise downtime.
• Follow health & safety guidelines and ensure the working area remains clean and organised.
• Maintain accurate production records and report on machine performance

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

• Experience working with laminating, printing, or packaging machinery (especially in digital or flexographic environments).

• A solid understanding of production workflows, adhesives, and substrate handling.

• The ability to set up, adjust, and monitor machinery accurately to meet customer specifications.

• A proactive mindset for problem-solving, maintenance, and quality control.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health & safety standards.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt to production demands.

Experience in the packaging or print industry is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
