What is a Spouch?
A spouch is a flexible pouch with an integrated spout that’s formed as part of the pouch shape. It can be made as a flat sachet or a stand-up pouch (SUP), depending on your product.
Because the spout is part of the pouch rather than a separate component, there’s one less step in production, and the finished pack remains lightweight and fully flexible.

How Are Spouches Filled?
Filling spouches is straightforward and efficient.
Depending on the style (stand-up pouch (SUP) or flat sachet) there are two common methods:
- Stand-up Spouches: are usually filled through the open top of the pouch. Once the product is filled, the top edge is heat-sealed to close it.
- Flat or Smaller Spouches: can be filled through the base, leaving the top spout shape intact. The bottom is then sealed once the product is inside.
This simple setup means there’s no need for spout insertion or capping – just fill and seal.
