Although we’ve been in the print business for half a century, we’ve only been in the pouch business since 2020. In that short space of time we have had to adapt to new frontiers, new machines, technologies and even languages.
Advanced Pouch Print and Production
Moving into new teritory
The once alien world we chose to explore has all sorts of fascinating dimensions. After much deliberation we’ve decided it’s worth advancing further into this territory.
Pouch Factory
The BakPac pouch factory we built when we first launched has changed significantly in the last year. Where once there was an HP Indigo 20000 we now see an upgraded Indigo 200K, with added speed, capacity and efficiency. We have been so impressed that we have already ordered another 200k – to be installed in the nar future.
Our finishing line had a boost with the installation of a Digicon 3000 to add spot varnish, foil and special coatings to premium ranges.
A whole new Galaxy
Converting the printed and laminated films into the various sizes and shapes of stand-up pouches was our biggest adventure. It’s been a journey that has taken us to a whole new Galaxy….To Galaxy Packtech Pvt Ltd
What’s so special about the Galaxy Pouchmakers?
Our extraordinary new pouch makers have massively increased our conversion capacity, which is just as well because word of our arrival in the Flexible Packaging world is getting out and demand for our services is growing. Fast.
They are mechanical rather than pneumatic which gives extra oomph and strength to the components. This immediately means higher quality, stronger seals on the pouches (essential for the thicker material constructions.)
Waste Reduction
Lean set ups are easily achieved which means we waste less when setting up new jobs. This is vital for improved product sustainability. In addition, it has been optimised to convert mono-materials which means that we produce awesome recyclable pouches.
